Gay Student Asks Scalia If He Sodomizes His Wife
NYP: April 14, 2005 — WHEN U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia (above) spoke Tuesday night at NYU’s Vanderbilt Hall, “The room was packed with some 300 students and there were many protesters outside because of Scalia’s vitriolic dissent last year in the case that overturned the Texas law against gay sex,” our source reports. “One gay student asked whether government had any business enacting and enforcing laws against consensual sodomy. Following Scalia’s answer, the student asked a follow-up: ‘Do you sodomize your wife?’ The audience was shocked, especially since Mrs. Scalia [Maureen] was in attendance. The justice replied that the question was unworthy of an answer.”
He didn’t answer the question. That poor woman.
I had a conversation with Justice Scalia (ok, I asked two questions and he sorta answered them) when he taught at my law school. We planned and executed a minor little protest which I reported on in my blog last November. It was pretty cool. I was less than 5 feet from the Justice and we looked each other in the eye as we talked.
I’m not too worried about Maureen Scalia. She’s a big girl; her husband is a Justice on the most powerful court in the world. She can take it. And, he deserves it.
Maria: “Oh… I meant poor her for not getting sodomized.”
Maria, LMAO! I heart you.
Oh… I meant poor her for not getting sodomized. LOL
I’m gonna go look for that entry on your blog. :)
Ah! Well now. THAT makes sense! ::grin:: Sodomy is one of my favorite sports! ::grin::

Plus, you can follow the two other links in the post and it will take you to the discussion of the protest. The post immediately after that post is one on last year’s Transgender Day of Remembrance for which I gave the keynote.
“Maria, LMAO! I heart you.”
Aww… I heart you too.
UML – Thanks for the link. :)
