SFist reports that the State Department issued a statement last Friday declaring they voted against letting two gay rights groups into a United Nations panel not because they are anti-gay, but because they are concerned about pedophilia. The groups not allowed into the United Nations panel were the Danish National Association for Gays & Lesbians (connection to pedophilia completely unknown) and the International Lesbian & Gay Association (once associated with NAMBLA, a group that “is strongly opposed to age-of-consent laws and all other restrictions which deny men and boys the full enjoyment of their bodies and control over their own lives,” before expelling them in 1994).
