“Snickers Commercial Blamed for Death of Four Gay Men” via Netscape’s Gay & Lesbian channel:

    NOSHEILA, NEW ZEALAND – Two New Zealand men (Johnson DeLarge and Randy Pecker) admitted to beating four gay men to death with baseball bats after watching the Snickers Commercial that ran during the Super Bowl.
    “After watching the American Superbowl and seeing those two menses kissing in that Snickers Commerical, I just had this uncontrollable urged to beat-up and kill some gay guys.” said Johnson DeLarge, one of the New Zealand men arrested for the murder of four gay New Zealand men.
    “Yeah, we were only going to beat up and kill one gay guy. But, Snickers Candy Bars gave us so much energy and vitality, we decided to kill FOUR gay guys instead.” said Randy Pecker, the other New Zealand man arrested for the murders.
    New Zealand authorities have condemed Americans and American television over the incident. “We just wish you Americans would keep your hate and prejudice filled entertainment products in America instead of exporting that kinda stuff to New Zealand.” said New Zealand’s Prime Ministeress.
