Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code
Activists protected in Mumbai on Tuesday calling for a ban of section 377 of the Indian Penal Code.
About section 377 of the Indian Penal Code (from Activists protest law on homosexuality):
This section of the IPC terms homosexuality as an unnatural act and is punishable with life imprisonment. It implies that people who are gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender are criminals.
A law that was first introduced by the British in 1860, and soon discarded by the British themselves in 1967, still continues to be enforced here in India.
