Payal Rohatgi talks to hindustantimes.com:

How is Men Not Allowed different from other films made on homosexuality?
I have not watched Fire or any other film based on homosexuality. So while I can’t say how different the director’s approach is in this film, from my own experience I do know that the story angle in Men Not Allowed is mind-boggling.

What kind of character are you playing in the film?

I play Tanya who is the daughter of a rich businessman. She meets a girl called Tina who has been exploited by society. And the two get into a physical relationship.

Did you enjoy this role?
I certainly did, first because I have never played a lesbian character before. Secondly, it felt very unnatural. I can say it was very challenging to play the role of a lesbian.

Do you like your image as a hot and sexy actress?
The tag doesn’t bother me. I think 8-10 years from now I would have established myself as an actress and then I won’t have to do hot and sexy roles.

Any challenging roles in your forthcoming films that are not glamorous?
Yes. I play a lady cop in one of my forthcoming films. I can’t say anything more than that.
