Our dogs, our hearts
I’m a dog person. I am a huge dog person. I notice that the people who are closest to me are also pet people.
Maria forwarded this book to me because as soon as she saw the doggie focus, she knew it was ALL ABOUT ME:
Woman’s Best Friend: Women Writers on the Dogs in Their Lives
I know I’ll be buying this book shortly: The Dogs Who Found Me: What I’ve Learned from Pets Who Were Left Behind by Ken Foster.
This book has a profile on MySpace here.
I wrote recently about my dog on Brad Listi‘s The Nervous Breakdown here in “Filthadelphia, or How I Found the Love of My Life in the Dumpster.” I wrote about my baby:
Every dog we’ve ever had – and that has been a LOT of dogs – has been someone else’s cast-off. Currently the dog population at our house equals the people population: four of each.
I would feel weird going to a breeder when I see so many dogs rejected and homeless. I was unfamiliar with Locke’s breeds, and I had no idea what to expect. Totally worth it. I’m so happy to hear you took the cast-offs as well.
My legs look completely werid from that angle.
Oh – were those your legs?
