Minister Suspended for Officiating Gay Daughter’s Wedding
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (AP) — Leaders of the Reformed Church in America suspended a New Jersey minister Friday night, ruling that he violated the Bible and the denomination’s teachings when he officiated at his gay daughter’s wedding.
The Rev. Norman Kansfield, 65, had been dismissed in January from his presidency of one of the church’s two seminaries, New Brunswick Theological Seminary. Kansfield performed his daughter’s wedding ceremony last June in Massachusetts, shortly after it became the first state to allow same-sex marriage.

What about what a parent violates by not caring about the happiness of their child? Ah… I forgot. Families are only important when they are convenient. Bad families (read: those who care more about their loved ones than the rules of any church) are nothing but a problem.
::sigh:: What a way to start off your marriage. Maybe, at 65 and after 40 years in the ministry, he can just retire. I hope so. Jeez, I can’t abide religious zealots!
