Matthew Limon, who has been in prison since 2000 for performing a sex act on a 14-year-old boy, will seek release today from a Miami County judge weeks after the Kansas Supreme Court decided that illegal underage sex must be punished in the same manner, be it homosexual or heterosexual sex.

Limon was sentenced to over seventeen years for the consensual act with the 14-year-old boy. If his partner had been female, he would have received a maximum sentence of fifteen months.
