“San Rafael,” a gay soap opera currently in the early development stage for Logo, is being produced by Madonna’s Maverick TV.

“San Rafael” is the tentative title of the drama described as a “Melrose Place”-type series about gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender residents of an apartment complex, Daily Variety reported Friday.

The show was created by Christian McLaughlin and Valerie Ahem of Comedy Central’s “Drawn Together,” CBS’s “The Bold and the Beautiful” and MTV’s “Spyder Games.”
