Lampeter-Strasburg High School Stops School Paper Distrbution Because of Gay Ad
From philly.com:
Administrators at Lampeter-Strasburg High School stopped the distribution of a school newspaper containing an advertisement by a gay and lesbian support group, then distributed it two weeks later without the ad.
Faculty adviser Adam Zurn wrote in an e-mail to a parent that 1,200 copies of the Nov. 18 Limelight had been recalled because of the advertisement for Common Roads, an adult-supervised support group for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered youths.
An ad for a gay and lesbian support group? That’s frightening. Just imagine what might happen – students would know where to get support. Whew, I’m glad they acted fast on this one.
