Good story behind the next couple photos. I was walking into the capitol building to get an elevated view of the rally for a pic when I was approached by a capitol staff person and asked “wanna really piss someone off?” I was directed to search the bushes at the far end of the rally where I was told none other than Senator Bachmann, chief advocate of the anti-gay amendment, was watching the rally…

She responds.

“I had high heels on and I just couldn’t stand anymore,” Bachmann said in an interview with the Star Tribune. “I was not in the bushes.” Indeed she wasn’t. She was merely crouching behind them to conceal herself – not a substantive difference in any book I’ve read.

But for someone in high heels, she certainly did take off quickly once the camera was spotted, but I digress. I must have been transported to an alternate universe when the speakers at the rally started personally attacking her – I missed it. And I think that one sign personally attacking her in a rally of 4,000+ people isn’t much of a big deal especially considering she makes a career out of attacking gays and lesbians every day…
