Alla Acquitted on Aggravated Harassment, Guilty of Lesser Charges
John Alla has been found guilty of three misdemeanors: two counts of harassment and a disorderly persons charge. He was, however, acquitted on of two counts of aggravated harassment as a bias crime.

William Smith, a spokesman for District Attorney Daniel Donovan, said that although a conviction was not forthcoming on the more serious bias crime charges, prosecutors are “grateful the jury did determine Mr. Alla’s behavior that day did rise to the level of harassment and disorderly conduct.”

Jurors interviewed outside the Stapleton courthouse after the verdict was announced yesterday said Gim’s case was plagued by inconsistent testimony from five witnesses, including the two alleged victims of the crime.
