Adam Rippon’s the first gay person to win ‘Dancing with the Stars’
Adam Rippon just won the 26th season of Dancing with the Stars. This is a huge accomplishment because he’s the first gay person to win the show. This is also the first win for his partner Jenna Johnson.
The short four-week season focused on professional athletes. After three weeks of eliminations, Rippon and Johnson competed against NFL player Josh Norman and Sharna Burgess and figure skater Tonya Harding and Sasha Farber.
While he slayed each performance it would’ve been nice to see him break ground dancing with another guy but we know the show is too conservative for that. SYTYCD couldn’t even pull that off with a younger demo. It was great having Adam rip more records in yet another competition.
